TBI / PTSD Pilot Study at Louisiana State University
Dr. Harch, pioneer in Hyperbaric (HBOT) oxygen therapy has received a grant to treat veterans and is looking for 30 participants for a TBI/PTSD study at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC).
We were contacted by a Marine father who's son was wounded by an IED in Iraq. The Marine suffered from TBI and PTSD, two of the signature injuries of this war. After seeing a profound positive change in his son from HBOT therapy, he wanted to share this treatment option with others who could possibly greatly benefit. (some may not show improvement) This information was presented at the Department of Defense Family Summit at the Pentagon.
"The big change is my son's outlook on life. He smiles, makes eye contact, is involved, is emotional, is caring, remembers things, has his pride and dignity back and is well on his way to a better and happier life. Will he ever be the same as he was before the injury, it's hard to say, but at least now he's got a fighting chance. He has even started college" ~ Joe Santoro
